Helen May Glickenstein

Helen May Glickenstein is the owner of an art gallery specializing in modern living artists. Starting her business in 1975, she has publicized many artists that were just starting their careers.

She was one of the originators of the Philadelphia Art Show which brought media attention to Saint Christopher’s Children’s Hospital. The C.B.C. volunteers and donors were instrumental in the building of a new modern facility. Ms. Glickenstein has helped numerous non-profits large and small by sharing the profits of art and jewelry sales with the organizations.

She has brought groups together with an artist to publish special editions for the non-profit. This has helped spread the reputation and recognition of many of the artists she sells.

The last ten years Ms. Glickenstein started learning fine jewelry design and is self-taught in the latest mining finds of semi-precious and precious gem stones. She also designs with Tahitian pearls. Attending lectures and classes as well as shopping at the Tucson Gem and Mineral Shows has enriched her creativity.

Ms. Glickenstein is a Graduate of Syracuse University, School of Education—special Education (gifted) with a Social Studies minor. She obtained her Master’s Degree from a Ford Foundation Program on Urban Teaching. She taught for the Air Force and the Army as well as public schools.

As a female teenager unable to get a summer job, Ms. Glickenstein started studying and researching corporations and their relationship to the Stock Market. This started her forward thinking, which goes on this day on undervalued Companies, undervalued Artists and undervalued gemstones.
The joy of discovery, the joy of helping others and the joy of educating clients to new ways of looking at the world—this is her business model.
